Create Your Own Zebra Print Diaper Cake 

 

These cakes are a great gift to give a new mom. As you know, you go through TONS of diapers on a daily basis so getting extras are always appreciated.

You can buy diapers cakes that are professionally made, but they are so easy to make that I highly recommend that you give them a try yourself.  If you fail, just give the mom all the diapers anyway!

Here is what I did:

Buy a package of diapers.  Roll each one of them up real tight and use a very small amount of tape to keep the roll.  Once you have them all rolled, I used an Angle Food pan and placed them in there so that I created the round base.  Once in the pan, it's easy to slip a few large rubber bands around the whole group (use large elastics).

Once you have the rubber bands in place, take the "cake" out and decorated it with large ribbon or cardstock paper (you don't want flimsy paper).

Use a smaller bowl to create your second layer.

Then add any finishing touches that you want on top.

Voila!  Your cake is complete.
